A Starter Dedicated server is an entry single-CPU bare-metal machine that is 100% yours, all of its Intel Xeon E-series CPU, ECC RAM, NVMe storage and bandwidth are dedicated to you alone, with no other customers on the hardware. It is the ideal first step up from VPS when you need guaranteed, single-tenant performance.
Both options are available. By default dedicated servers are self-managed with full root and IPMI access, but our engineers can fully manage setup, security hardening, monitoring, updates and backups for you, just choose the managed add-on.
Yes. Every dedicated server includes full root access along with out-of-band IPMI/KVM access, so you have complete control to install any OS, reboot, reinstall and troubleshoot at the hardware level.
