What is openSIS?
openSIS is a student information system for K-12 schools, trade schools and higher education, developed by Open Solutions for Education (OS4ED). The Community Edition manages student and staff records, course scheduling, attendance, grading and transcripts, and is released under the GNU General Public License.

openSIS requirements
- PHP: PHP 8.x (per openSIS Classic README, current release)
- Database: MySQL 5.7 / 8.0 or MariaDB 10.4.x
- Apache 2.4 or above (per README)
The current Community Edition lists Apache 2.4, PHP 8.x and MySQL 5.7/8.0 or MariaDB 10.4, which a cPanel account with selectable PHP can provide. Softaculous may install an older openSIS build, so check the installed version and upgrade path.
